Re: Is there such a thing as a decent free MPG encoder?

I have used the Berkeley MPEG-1 Video Encoder: (URL) used it to create a few small time-lapse movies. One was my LEGO model of the Kennedy Space Center crawler/transporter (the movie is near the end of the Overview section): (URL) another was a (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Geekshelf is going to disappear soon

(...) The only problem is, someone has to pay for that. That's precisely why services like this can't continue forever without some means of the user paying -- be it through advertising or subscriptions, or they can't continue (barring unique (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Geekshelf is going to disappear soon

I'm trying to put together animations from a series of image files. Up to now I've used gif animation programs. But I'm thinking I can get much better compression if I go to MPeg format. What free/inexpensive programs are out there that do this (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Goodbye Geekshelf... A Marytr?

Hello All! From what it seems, Geekshelf is counting its days. Go to the Geekshelf home page and see why: (URL) is sad. However, I am curious if this is a good thing in some way. I have heard how BrickShelf and GeekShelf have been exceeding thier (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
