Goodbye Geekshelf... A Marytr?

Hello All!

From what it seems, Geekshelf is counting its days.  Go to the Geekshelf
home page and see why:

That is sad.  However, I am curious if this is a good thing in some way.  I
have heard how BrickShelf and GeekShelf have been exceeding thier bandwith
for forever, is the death of Geekshelf a good thing?  If all the bandwith of
Geekshelf is freed up for Brickshelf, then horay! we may have a fast
BrickShelf by this time next month!!!

So, hats off to GeekShelf, a marytr for us Lego fans. (Maybe)

(...) And what happens when geekshelf is lost, but brickshelf exceeds its bandwidth in the near future? Will accounts have to be terminated until the problem is stabilized? Why not give people an impetus to pursue 'premier memberships', which would (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
