  Re: Taking pictures of Lego

Hi, I have used a large white poster board material and arranged the back so it slopes up to vertical behind the model ... This removes the wall edge in the pictures.. I dont have anything posted(yet) using this method but it solved the back wall (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Taking pictures of Lego

I've got a quick question (although feel free to drift the subject as much as you want): :-) What have people found to be the best material and color for use as a backdrop behind their Lego models for taking pictures? I've played with black, but it (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickset now a .com

Yoohoo! I've forgotten more than once that it's in .co.uk, .com makes it much easier to remember. Thanks! :-) -Shiri (25 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.publish)

Re: New website layout, what you think?

(...) I'm not entirely sure, though I suspect that PPP or SLIP are not optimized for a protocol like HTTP which makes many new socket connections in a short period of time. I have discovered that telnet and even FTP performace is much better than (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: New website layout, what you think?

Re: New website layout, what you think?

(...) Cool! (...) Well to be honest, I'm running through a T1 line, so I'm not an effective judge of download times. Perhaps when I get my 33.6 hooked up at home again... Personally, I don't mind waiting for a 83K page over the modem. (In fact, I (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: New website layout, what you think?

I like it, i like it! I have a sugestion though, on the edges of most of the images on the left are a little choppy on the edges where the lego meatss the black background.   Re: New website layout, what you think?

Thanks for responding Jeremy. This is just a draft, or a sketch of the final layout. There will be text to help guide you to the various sub-pages that will appear under the large images. I'll also list some hard link text below so that those too (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

New website layout, what you think?

I've posted my most recent webpage layout to get an idea of whether or not people like it. Let me know what you think and remember that this is just a draft, and none of the links work. (URL) J (25 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Some craft (but sloppy) photo editing...

Re: I just finished two Cannon MOCs

Hi Bradley, Your cannons sound neat!   Soft Opening of FunBrix.com

LEGO fans, It’s time to unveil my new concept “FunBrix” to all! The idea behind FunBrix is a one stop place on the web for fun, bricks, news, links and more.   Re: Kidvention: Printing Posters Troubleshooting

(...) That's what I've been doing to get it to fit in the page. I've done a few like that, but they print unevenly on the page (full image though) - printer problem, so they'll need to be trimmed some. Posters padded with white don't look that bad, (...)   Re: Kidvention: Printing Posters Troubleshooting

(...) Rather than cropping an edge of the image, I would suggest sampling the resolution down and padding the other edges with white in stead. That way, you don't loose any part of the original image. Fredrik (25 years ago, 9-Jul-00, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.events)

Re: Grabbing the stuff after the ? in a URL
