Re: Software to merge video frames to obtain higher quality stills?

(...) I'm not sure what you mean by "merge", but if you mean take the average of a series of images, this can be done with Image Magick. The command line tool "convert" can be used like this: % convert -average input1.png input2.png ... inputn.png (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Readable text fonts for screen editing (was: Horizontal scrolling...)

(...) I use 8 pt. Fixedsys (the font Notepad uses) for email, html editting and other applications which require a fixed width font. It's very easy to read, easier than Terminal, IMO, and much easier than Courier, which is usually too light-weight. (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.publish)

Readable text fonts for screen editing (was: Re: Horizontal scrolling while posting? (was: Re: whoop de doo))

(...) Ahh, good point. I used Terminal 6pt for everything in the old days, but that was before +128 was a big deal. I'd forgotten about the character set of Terminal. (...) I switched from Terminal to Lucida Console (that's what I meant to write (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.publish)

Software to merge video frames to obtain higher quality stills?

I got a cheap webcam (~$60), and it is okay, but a bit grainy. I just want to take still pictures of LEGO, so I reckon that it should be possible to take X frames a second and merge them into one, eliminating the grain and getting a nice clear (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: S@H Catalogs

(...) [snip] The Spring catalogs are actually the rarest. For example, it looks like you are missing Spring 1998 and 1999. I think Spring '98 was a catalog of which I had only one when I sent you that pile of catalogs in May '98. There also exist (...)   Re: new site

(...) is that it's quite hard to see which sections you can click on - you need to keep an eye on the status bar to see where the link goes! If it'll be any help, in about a month when I graduate, I'll finally have enough time to finish off a lil (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: New Animation
