With my most recent web site update, I added the concept of thumbnails.
To make them, I used a graphics program to scale down my pictures to 30% and
then saved a copy under a different name. This makes it so the thumbnails
load reasonably fast and are reasonably small. It was a pain though to
create and link in all those separate files.
Is there a better way?
Another annoying thing is that my thumbnails came out different sizes. This
is because my original scans were different sizes. Also, some of them are
rotated 90 degrees to capture the extreme height of some of my buildings.
I've tried to hide the differing sizes by enclosing the thumbnails in padded
table cells with text off to the right.
Are there better ways?
Here are some examples of thumbnail usage:

Can anyone suggest improvement strategies?
I would appreciate the advice,
Brad
