Re: BrickJournal (was Re: A new project...)

(...) It's funny that you mention that, because there will be some upcoming articles from LEGO staffers... (...) There will be some more instructions this issue..and some more Bricks for Thought! (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

Re: Announcing the first BrickJournal Contest...

(...) Keith, sorry for the ridiculously slow reply. The reason behind the word limit is that a page layout on BrickJournal is 500-700 words a page, with 30% space left over for photos. With all the stuff coming through for Issue #2, it was (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

Re: AFOL Web Developers! (was Re: LEGO Developer's Guild)

Sounds very cool. I just went and signed up. My only page online is on C-S, and I stole the page design. :D It'll be nice to watch and read and see what others say on such topics. Definitely a good idea! -Stefan- (19 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish)

AFOL Web Developers! (was Re: LEGO Developer's Guild)

Ok, I promise I'm not trying to win the prize for the oldest thread resurrected :) But when we were at Brickfest a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that many of the conversations that I was involved with were about code, and websites, and how to make (...)   Re: Announcing the first BrickJournal Contest...

Sounds like a great contest Joe, my only complaint is the 500 word minimum. Some of us only get rolling at 500. -Keith (19 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

  Upload new instructions to PICSL!

We're happy to announce that PICSL is now accepting user submissions. If you have instructions scans of sets that are not currently available in PICSL, or even a better version of scans that are already there, you can now upload them. Just go to the (...)   Announcing the first BrickJournal Contest...

BrickFest™ has become a major event in the AFOL community, with hundreds of attendees coming each year and the number of visitors growing each year.   BrickFest was GREAT! (and this is long...)

Hi all, BrickFest was simply an incredible experience this year. Thanks need to go to all the people involved in the production and execution of this fest, from the coordinators to the volunteer help. Personally, I met many old friends and made some (...)   Re: MOC's

(...) You can put the images in a .zip file and upload the zip, Brickshelf then unzips them. (You can only upload a .zip to one folder at a time and you can't have folders/subfolders within the .zip) Tim (19 years ago, 11-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

  Re: Schpiffkraft Hakenkreuz

(...) Lenny please don't attempt to make JLUG something it is not. From the user agreement: "This forum is for discussing any facet of creating with bricks but is intended for a mature audience." It is not and never was designed to be "adults only", (...) (19 years ago, 9-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) No!!! Don't say that. I really, really don't have time for any more projects, so telling me how much fun it was isn't helping me at all. Please tell me that it was gruelling, thankless, back-breaking labor that made you regret you'd ever (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) You know, it was surprisingly easy to do my book. TONS of work, certainly. But very fun work, and it's been great to have accomplished it. Interestingly, it wasn't "hard" work, in sense that only a select few people in the world could do it. (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

--SNIP-- (...) I agree about nice, shiny books. Of course, if we could get enough information and a liberal enough publisher, we could print the shiny book eventually ;-). Tim (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) Thanks, Tim — I confess that I thought BrickWiki was just about the history of LEGO. I didn't know it was a repository for building techniques as well. I agree, that could be quite useful. In some ways, not quite as nice as a glossy book on my (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Wanted: book on LEGO town building

I know Jake recently got an excellent book on LEGO trains published. I'd love to see something similar, but all about building minifig-scale LEGO towns. I imagine that major sections of the book might include: vehicles buildings landscaping & (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)
