This is interesting. The printed slopes (3x2 33º) in the McDonald's sets are slightly modified from the standard form. The most noticeable difference is that the sloped & printed surface is smooth, instead of matte. Looking inside the bricks, I (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.promo)

I got ten each of #1 and #2 today at 99 cents. I suspect it IS franchise dependent. I hope to complete a set of 10 each of all 8 and I will be allocating some of the ten to my factorees, one complete set each. I doubt I will have any left for non (...) I went to two McDonalds today. At the first one I bought a happy meal. When I got outside to the car, I looked inside the bag and boy was I happy. They put two #1s in the bag. At lunch today I picked up set #2. It is some sort of a combination helicopter and boat. I'm guessing that some of the apparent new colours are due to a change in the plastic used by TLG. If you take a close look some of the new bricks in the Star Wars sets, and compare to a standard brick in the same colour, you can sometimes tell that (...) (...) It could certainly be the new blue-purple color -- the one that shows up in the new DUPLO Dinosaurs sets. It's not purple, and it's not blue, but it's in-between.
