I find myself snagging bits and pieces at auctions that I have no current use
for, but will probably need for just such projects as you mention. Mindlessly
snagging inverse slopes is one of my indulgences.

There's no real addressing of cannon on swivel/slides in the rules. Clearly it
is an advantage, but this may be something he handles in person or doesn't
worry about (minimaxer that I am, I do).

I'm doing this kind of thing a lot in my ship re-designs. Big foredeck and
swivel-mounted gun.
