(...) All of this information is correct. Please note than when I posted on this thread in early July we did not know when the sets would be released in North America and I was pestering Jake for more information (which he did not have yet).   When will the Vikings raid the US?

I've been away on vacation for a couple weeks and a little out of the loop. Does anyone know if/when the Viking line will be available in the US? I searched for info on Lugnet but didn't find much. The Brickfest 2005 keynote speech mentions the line (...) (19 years ago, 19-Aug-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Vikings

Here's the full answer: Erik Olson: Why did Lego wait until 2005 to explore a Scandinavian theme with Vikings? Jørgen Vig Knudstorp: There's several answers to that. One is I think there's some Scandinavian humbleness-- we did not think anybody (...) (19 years ago, 19-Aug-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) Heh. Actually, they had a handout at BrickFest created especially for TRU having Vikings in October. It was a pretty cool ad with some neat graphics. If I was really cool, I'd post pics of it. But I am not cool. I am lame. ;o) Vikings ROOL!! (...) (19 years ago, 19-Aug-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

How LEGO Factory could revive Pirates

I'm excited about the upcoming LEGO Factory. Here's notes from Jake about it: (URL) With this, and just a little bit of support from LEGO (such as the reintroduction of pirate minifigs and sails, and a couple other specialized parts), we could (...)   New forum for pirate lego

So, it being a couple weeks since the Piratebricks.com boards seemed to have worked i decided to set up a substitute board in the meantime. I think this could be useful since there seemed to be about 25-50 posts a week over there and only a couple (...) (19 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  About piratebricks.com

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew who runs this site and would be able to contact them. I can't seem to find an E-mail for any of them on the website.   Re: The LEGO Revival Survey

This is my final plea and I will be silent about this (I will post the results though) from now on. Lugnet isn't filled with little children. There are thousands, I think, of members here who have jobs, families, children, spouses and other things (...)   Re: The LEGO Revival Survey

I know this is posted to many many groups, but I really need people from all interests to help take this survey. There are so many members here at Lugnet yet I feared too few ever check the home page or .general. So, I plea with all of you to allow (...)   Pirates of the Spanish Main

Was out shopping the other day and found a game called, Pirates of the Spanish Main. See www.wizkidsgames.com/pirates It's a neat little game, uses punched cards to make ships, has all sorts of collectable stuff and so on. Anyhow the rules are nice (...)   Re: MegaBloks

I can see in the next few years Megabloks gaining greater market share and continuing to improve it's product line in terms of quality, realism and general appeal to a wider youth audience then Lego.   Re: MegaBloks

(...) Eh, I don't like the Dragon product line. The occasional special piece in a kit is great (Bionicle pushes the limits of good taste, but doesn't break them), the Dragon line is hard to be considered bricks at all. From what I've seen, there are (...) (19 years ago, 3-Jul-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)
