  Re: The pirate sloop Revenge

I neglected to include the fuzzy pic that best shows the sterncastle from 7075... (URL) Adieu Richie Dulin (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  The pirate sloop Revenge

The Revenge ===...=== Long time readers of .pirates may recall the pirate sloop (URL) Revenge> (formerly the chasse maree Azelma), which was, for a time, the only pirate presence in the waters surrounding Port Brique. The old revenge was a simple (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: New LEGO Pirate Site & Forum - PirateBricks.com

(...) Very cool! I've added a link to PirateBricks to the .pirate sidebar. Cheers Richie Dulin (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The Schooner Bleusorcière

(...) -snip- (...) I thought grey wouldn't work on a ship until I saw the Scimitar, and now having seen the effect of grey and blue in the ABS, it is a very nice colour scheme. And quite economical too. Grey is a common colour for the tall slopes. (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The Schooner Bleusorcière

(...) looks very nice Mr Dulin! i must say that, while i generally am not turned on by schooner rigs, this one is very nicely done. the color scheme is familiar ;-) . she has a respectible armament as well, may not be an easy catch...... always (...)   New LEGO Pirate Site & Forum - PirateBricks.com

Ahoy, me mateys! A few months ago we (my brother and I) thought that the LEGO community needed a site dedicated to the LEGO Pirate theme. And since both of us have always loved the LEGO Pirates, we decided to make that site! We currently have a (...) (19 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: A not so deserted island

(...) The breaking waves are also really nice. I was really impressed by how well he models moving water with really simple means. Tell him to be prepared to have those ideas copied. ;-) Jacob (19 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: modern non-minifig Pirate sets?

The new Juniorized pirates are a HUGE disappointment as they are intended for 4 year olds. They just don't compare to the superior 1989-1995ish traditional minifig pirate sets. They have zero appeal to me, but I think perhaps there may be a few (...) (19 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  modern non-minifig Pirate sets?

OK, newbie here, please excuse my newbie questions... I've recently come to realize how cool the classic LEGO pirate sets are. But lately, all I see in the catalog are things like set 7075 (URL), with overgrown figures with bumpy faces. My questions (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  The Schooner Bleusorcière

I’m on record as being not much of a fan of schooner rigs, but there have been several examples of nice schooners on .pirates (Kurt Baty’s recent Remember the Legamo springs to mind). And, well, even in 1805, time does march on. The old Montreuil, (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.boats, FTX) !!

Captain Blackhole has a new home, Blackskull Fortress

Captain Blackhole, the meanest pirate ever to ply the seven spaceways, has a new home. Notable is that, at the time it was built, it had at least one of every computer listed as the .space computer of the month in it. See if you can spot them all :) (...)   Re: Ships' Boats

(...) These are really nice boats, Richie. I haven't been on Lugnet in a while - I hope you come out with those construction pics soon - I still have difficulty seeing that SNOT construction. I'll have to make some of my own soon, too! Aaron :) (19 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, FTX)

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)

(...) So, is that a Red Beard Runner hull (extended) hiding under the snot work? The snot slopes really deliver a good hull curve. And nicely done with the integration of the studs up deck to the studs foward bow. And the small greenish thing... the (...) (19 years ago, 10-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)

  Re: Iron Clads

(...) Actually some wood was used: " The ship would be 172 feet long with a 41 foot 6 inch beam. Two 11 inch guns would be housed in a revolving turret. The ship would have a flat deck with only 18 inches of free board and a draft of 10 feet 6 (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.western, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Small Pirate Cutter - Test Design

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)
