The new Juniorized pirates are a HUGE disappointment as they are intended for 4 year olds. They just don't compare to the superior 1989-1995ish traditional minifig pirate sets. They have zero appeal to me, but I think perhaps there may be a few (...) (20 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

Im on record as being not much of a fan of schooner rigs, but there have been several examples of nice schooners on .pirates (Kurt Batys recent Remember the Legamo springs to mind). And, well, even in 1805, time does march on. The old Montreuil, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.boats, FTX) !!
