I use bricks for ships larger than the pirate hulls, but still use pirate hulls for the smaller ships - bricks don't look so good on (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) True. Although I made the hull as sturdy as I could, it still needs to be supported at both ends when I lift it (not often!), and even then still flexes somewhat. The main issue with pirate gaming isn't the strength, though, but the weight - (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Funny you should mention that, Wesley - I AM running out of pieces :( I'm building two more ships right now - the first is smaller than the Kestrel, and the second even smaller than the first! It's not just the bricks, either - suitable plates (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates)
