  Re: Ship's Bell

(...) That sounds a lot more like a gong than a bell. ;P The closest I can figure out is to put a 1x1 round brick, 1x1 cone, minifig head, or micro-motor pulley on top of the 2x2 radar dish, but that pretty much rules out using the chrome radar. (...) (20 years ago, 1-May-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Ship's Bell

It occured to me recently that, while Lego has given many ships a lovely compass, they've neglected one of the most symbolic pieces of a ship, which every [large] ship ought to have: the ship's bell. I'd like to hear you guys' ideas on how we might (...) (20 years ago, 1-May-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Introducing Myself, and My Ships

Morten Soerensen's Denmark-Based bricks4you.com™ BULK store. (URL) He had 700 red/white striped pirate torso assemblies that came with the original heads. I bought them and 700 pants of medium blue, sand green, and sand red, to make 700 new pirates. (...) (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Introducing Myself, and My Ships

(...) Holy cow! Where did you find 700 pirates for sale? or did you buy them from a whole bunch of different places? Nice ships, by the way. -Clangador (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Introducing Myself, and My Ships

(...) Well, I grew up with Lego. My first set was when I was in 2nd grade or before, I think. I remember it was a little Blacktron II fighter. I always wanted the pirates though. I had a friend who had a 6274 (I think...never saw it assembled) and I (...) (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Introducing Myself, and My Ships

(...) Ahoy! Good to see you posting here! You only started in 2002? I thought I was a late starter... (...) Without question! I really like this one... I'm not a ESPGer myself, but that's a fantastic little vessel, the lateen rig is a nice match for (...) (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Introducing Myself, and My Ships

(URL) Hello! I'm Wes Davis, a fellow AFOL. In 2002, I started buying pirate legos, starting with two 6285 sets and one 6286. I'd promised myself I'd buy these ships (which I'd always wanted growing up) and now that I had the means, I went for it. (...)   Re: LEGO Rulers 4 Pirate Game

(...) "BricksWest Carlsbad, CA - February 16-18, 2002. Thanks to Derek Schin and Frank Filz for big help on this one. Frank has now converted me to the "Lego Ruler" camp." I just ran across that bit (URL) here>. Still no mention in the official (...) (20 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The Penguin

(...) Hmm, that's not a bad idea. My friend has a thing for penguins; He likes them. I have no idea way. But that would bring a liitle more penguin flavor to the ship. (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The Penguin
