  Firing Canon?
 
Has LEGO ever given an explanation for the United States not having firing canon after the original 4 pirate sets release in 1989? If so, could someone direct me to it. I have been wondering about this issue since 1990. Susan Williams almost (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) The story as I heard it was that Lego decided to stop selling the firing cannons because of the danger of the projectiles to children. You can make your US cannon firing. All you need is a older spring loaded ball point pin. Cut the spring in half, unwind the spring a little (to fit loosely around the plunger shaft) and remove the plastic disc that has been substituted for the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Oct-02, to lugnet.pirates)
