Susan Williams almost recieved a letter with 20 odd non firing canon
enclosed :) In reality I fared well.  My Eldorado Fortress and Caribbean
Clipper each had two firing canon.  My younger brother's face dropped and he
was in a poor mood for a week when he found that his first canon had a black
pin which pulled back only a sixteenth of an inch!  Any information would be
appreciated.

The story as I heard it was that Lego decided to stop selling the firing
cannons because of the danger of the projectiles to children.  It makes
sense as the laws on that type of thing seem to be stricter here in the US.
I'd be willing to trade your younger brother a new firing cannon for the one
he has with a black pin.  My firing cannon doesn't have a black pin, it is
all gray.  I love the black pin cannons and that is why I'm making this offer.
take care,
Tom
