  Re: My pathetic FOTW

(...) If you decide to sell them, I'd be interested in at least 50 or 60 John (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My pathetic FOTW

(...) Maybe I can be interested in buying a large lot of part #2551 "Boat Row Boat 5 x 14 x 2", so I myself can model the pontoon bridge MOC I suggested a few days ago in this newsgroup. (See: (URL) ) I'm thinking of 30 pieces, so I can make 15 (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My pathetic FOTW

I'm always on the lookout for more soldiers. If you are entertaining ideas of selling them off in large lots, let me know. Bruce (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Brickfest here I come with castle, pirate, and train (sorry, no space - except for trade fodder)

I'm off to see the wizard.... I'm, on the verge of leaving to catch my flight (probably a little early, but I'd always rather be early than late). I am bringing (and it's amazing all of this fits into one large box, one large duffel, and my carry-on (...) (...) It was stuck in the back of the garage for all these years. (...) I think about 288 more soldiers. (...) Yeah, I've found all sorts of stuff I didn't know I had like this. But really, 144 sets is a lot to find. (...) Well, I suppose I could (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: The NEXT Pirates Legend (no whiners!)

(...) True... but I don't even have any small boat sails, so I have to make do. :-/ (...) <snip> (...) *Ahem* Okay: (URL) :-) -JHK (whose subscribing to lugnet.pirate!) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Those openings in bow pieces...

(...) No idea, but I have used them for cannon ports and windows. You could probably ask similar questions for practicly any large Lego piece. Maybe their just their for decoration? -JHK (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Those openings in bow pieces...

(...) In both early models of ships, the cannons are placed at the same level of the holes; these might have been initially planned for that (bow cannon ports), given the difference in height of the bow piece when compared to the hull sections (ie, (...)   Those openings in bow pieces...

Ahoy, Both types of hull bow pieces have roughly 2x2 opeings in them.... what are they for? I originally thought they were either cannon ports or openings for anchors, but the official LEGO models I've seen use them for neither. It is possible, (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)
