Gentlemen, gentlemen.

Hardly sporting! Apples, oranges, and... giant, armoured, heavily armed...
grapes... we're comparing here.

Flame's built to historical scale... mainly due to my lack of cannon...
*grumbles*. Wait till I figure out how to build a Carronade! I'll load her
down with 36-pounders and then we'll see who laughs...

Meanwhile, we'll stay at least ten miles from that great greay beast of
yours, LFB.

Hardly sporting... *grumbles* armor piercing... *grumble* :-D

Nice ship. I like the 2x2 square masts - gives a whole new meaning to
square rigged :-)

But this isn't a broadside:

*this* is a broadside:

Oooh, can't keep you waiting, that just wouldn't be right.

*THIS* is a broadside.  If anyone cares to exchange fire,
  we'll be about 6km over there ------>

BTW, I still can't get over how good those gunports look
(looked?), Tony.  Any plans to rebuild the ol' Floater?
I can get you a ton of 6x6 angle plates if you want to
  sculpt a nice black 32-wide two-decker hull...

(...) Not the guy who's gotta careen the ship, that's for certain. Did they ever actually toss 36-pounders on a brig or sloop? (...) Not a problem. Consider it a precocious child, nothing more. (Big kid!) (...) "Say, Nigel, did you just hear that?" (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.pirates)
