I thought I would point out that there is a non-pirate hull in the Flying
Time Vessel 6493.  It's also the only gray hull so it's kinda nice that way.

Yeah, the FTV is cool, but why weren't ship hulls used for different themes
and sets? There are 2 ways I wish Lego used ship hulls. One, they could've
used ship hulls for sunken ships in the Divers theme. The divers did have a
few sunken ships, but they were made of bricks. Two, Lego could've used them
for a pirates shipwreck island, but again they had shipwreck islands(they
had 3 if you include Pirate's Perilous Pitfall's shipwreck) but they used
bricks instead. It'd be nice to see some shipwrecks semi-intact. Does
anybody else agree?

I don't know, I thought the Perilous Pitfall was a pretty good-
looking shipwreck!  But as for semi-intact, one must consider
the condition of most shipwrecks as found...unless you're lucky
and find a Vasa or a half of the Mary Rose, most wooden ships
are rendered skeletal in a few years.  We'd need metal ships.

But that said, I would have loved to see center sections for
the FTV 12-wide hull.  Dark grey?  Ironclad time!  (Yes, I do
have them on the brain, as it were.)

I totally agree on the whole Shipwreck idea.  In fact, I have one spare 16 wide
Stern piece that I attach to a plate for an obstacle while playing the Pirate
Game. (once again, inspired by watching Evil Captain Stevie)

Oooh...that's a great idea!  Perch it upright, and it would be
nice and ominous.  One could even make a Waterworld-esque Pirate
Atoll out of semi-wrecked ships.  I've been blessed with some
of the fixings of islands, and if we have our Pirate Game of
the East Coast late enough this year (read: after 10 June), I
   could even put some together.

BTW, Frank, I've noticed you buying Pirate lots again...is
there some sinister plot in the making?  ;)

   best

   Lindsay

(...) Yea, I'd like to see the dark grey 12 wide center section. Also, a black one would be nice (hmm, want to see a class 5 HMS Bugsplat????). (...) I had an extra stern section for a while, traded with Heather to even her up, and then ended up (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.pirates)
