  Re: Brickfest 2001?

(...) The more the merrier, I say. (...) Or get food, or sleep (gasp)... I'm definitely game, with or without Evil Stevie. (Of course I'd gather that he's probably reading these messages, so maybe we'll hear from him at some point, hopefully in the (...)   My VERY FIRST publication of MOCS!!

Hello everyone, Here are my very first MOCS made public!! I welcome any comments, but please don't be too harsh on me, being only a adult just beginning Lego builder. I enjoyed building these MOCS very much, and hope some of this enjoyment comes (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Would the place be available 24 hrs. Sounds like a yes. I would guess that if we didn't want to stay there 24hrs we could arrange to lock up. (...) Cool! (...) (...) 3.5 hours. (...) I don't follow. Actually, the only problem related to time (and I just thought of this) that I can see is that the mini-cons that happen there are typically Friday night straight through to Sunday afternoon with no locked up (...)   Re: Brickfest 2001?

(...) How long was your drive to DC? NJ would probably be doable, though I'd be inclined to do it on a long weekend. (...) The strip mall sounds interesting. Would there be time problems? That sounds like an interesting location to do semi-public (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)

  Re: Brickfest 2001?

(...) Once Lindsay is back, GardenSLUG (Lindsay, Andy Lynch, and I all played last summer, so we probably have significant concentrated interest) might be willing to host it if you're willing to come a bit farther north. I have a couple options in (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)

Re: The Perfect Parts Set: 6776 Ogel Control Center?

That is a pretty good deal for all those parts. I would have expected this to go for more like $70. Interestingly enough, it appears to come on an old Paradisa 6416 (Poolside Paradise) baseplate with a new paint job! Has anyone seen that baseplate (...)   The Perfect Parts Set: 6776 Ogel Control Center?

I'm really excited about this set: (URL) parts that caught my attention: A red space windshield- the first since 1994!!!!! It's the new clicky kind. Red angled support beams- at least two. Two red 6x6 octogon domes- a rare part in old Castle (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Washing Pirate Sails?

(...) Hi Paul, I've cleaned a lot of sails and the main thing to avoid is scrubbing them too hard. The threads on the edges come loose and fray if you wash them too long or scrub them too much. You can use just about any liquid detergent and even (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Brickfest 2001?

(...) I think a Piratefest would be awsome. I'm not sure if I could come up with a venue though (my apartment certainly isn't big enough for a game). I think someplace in the mid-Atlantic region would be best, which would suggest D.C. as a good (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Washing Pirate Sails?

(...) I have washed with liquid dish soap and gotten good results. If they are smoky smelling it may be worth using an anti-bacterial liquid hand soap though I haven't tried this. If you dry the sails on a flat surface (like a towel draped over a (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Washing Pirate Sails?

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do or NOT do to clean pirate ship sails? I've acquired some used ones from various sources that are really dirty, as well as wrinkled, and I'd like to know how people clean these. Are the colors (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Tom Reed: Please read this !!!!

Hello Tom, I can't reach you !! I've been sending multiple mails for more then a week now (regarding sails and Brickbay) and they all come back as 'undelivered'. Is you mailbox full?   Re: Ship Hull Question

(...) Hi Lester, I've done just such a thing using inverted slopes and some plates. The only trick is finding the same color if you want it to match. I had a web page illustrating it, but unfortunately I removed it recently. I can send you some pics (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.pirates)
