Moving away / Losing interest in Lego :(

Hi Lugnet users, I am moving next week and like Lego fans always do, they pack up their Lego. I am 15 years old and I have been actively collecting Lego since December 1996 up to now. But, I haven't even looked inside my cabinet since this summer, (...) Hey there, I am interested, how many white 45 degree parts are you looking for? Would you be willing to sell? Jon (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Masts

(...) Try Jon at Baylit. I've been ordering quite a bit of pirate stuff from him lately and I've been very satisfied. Here's the address... (URL) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Imperial and Pirate figs!!!

Hello, I am in lack of a good camera so you are gonna have to trust me on these... I have two trades going up. A pair of Pirate fig bags for WHITE SLOPES (45*). The Imperial Bag consists of 6 soldiers, 4 of the 'Blue coated' Soldiers with red (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.pirates)

Re: A Little Help - Helmet nomenclature

(...) The "pan-style" helmet is a Kettle Hat, alternately Ketyl Hat/Helm, or Chapel de Fer. There are other names, but those are the ones you are most likely to see. The "conquistador" helmet is often refered to as a Spanish Morion, but properly (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: A Little Help - Helmet nomenclature

(...) I've heard the "conquistador" helmets referred to as "Morion" helmets, but I haven't bothered going to the library to verify this term with the encyclopedia yet. (...) I don't claim to be an expert, but again, I have heard these referred to as (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

A Little Help - Helmet nomenclature

I was wondering if anyone out there knows the "official" name for the "conquistador" type helmets worn by the Imperial Armada soldiers. If you are an expert, maybe you can also help with those new "pan style" castle helmets. Thanks Jon (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Masts

(...) If not for that pesky Parks legislation, I'd say Redwood National Forest... Um, wait. You mean LEGO masts, for LEGO boats (as opposed to LEGO masts for real boats, or real masts for LEGO boats)? Of course, I have my own source, but it depends (...)   Masts

Does anyone know a good supplier of masts for boats? (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Sorry it took me so long to respond (I've been away from the net for about a week). Here are a few links: I was suprised to have little luck finding much on the web. I've enclosed 3 articles from the Corpus Christi Caller Times - it seems that (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Do you know where any .jpgs are located? I'd love to see them cobbling together some 15th-C. ships. I do know there are a few replicas of Columbus's ships already floating around out there (quite literally!), so I wonder if these will vary (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) . (...) At the Corpus Christ, TX Natural History Museum, replicas of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria are being built by craftsmen using, IIRC, essentially the same building techniques as were employed on the originals. It is a fascinating (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) I think he learned after the first not to go quite so overboard on pages and pages of nautical jargon explanation. But then again, once you go through it, you are better prepared for the succeeding novels. And yes, I have gotten that comment (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Really? I loved the first one, thought the beginning of the second was rather slow, but now that he's on his bizarre double-bowed ship, things are picking up again. The technical terminology didn't bothe rme at all...but it did cause me to (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Just the first book. The *constant* refrain from people who see me lugging around an Aubrey/Maturin novel is, "Does it get better after the first one?" I'd rather warn people that the first can be a little difficult, but calmer waters are (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) No, no, no...sea *Touts*. You know, they sell illegal tickets, secondhand merchandise, all of that. They'd probably sell you a defective hull sealant, or a cracked peg leg. This tweedehands stuff aside, I'm quite in favour of Timmes Vs. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Sea Trouts? I thought they were freshwater. I've got other fish to fry. Timmies will do in any case: it's a truism that Boy Scouts always have those little axes with them, those just become boarding axes. :-) Bruce (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation
