  Louisiana bans gay marriages

(URL) leads me to a question: Which states in the US allow gay marriage? Thank you! Rob Hendrix PS Is this on-topic and something that is allowable to talk about here? (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) Yes (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) My question would should it appear on the main new message listing? It doesn't pertain to Lego, much the same way that off-topic.debate doesn't, and that doesn't appear on the main message list (not demanding anything here, just curious). (...)   LBGT sculpture

Hi. I don't post to Lugnet much but thought I'd chime in here as I have a current project of LBGT interest. It's a pair of sculptures depicting Emily Dickinson and Audre Lorde in conversation. I hope to have them done in time for next year's (...) (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) Well, a fair number of the rtlToronto group's posts don't pertain to LEGO and they appear on the main new message listing. If people don't want to read the posts here that they can add this group to the skip filter settings. -Orion (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) To my knowledge, none of them do. Vermont allows same-sex "civil unions" (essentially the same thing as marriage, with all the rights and priveledges thereof, but without the word "marriage" attached), but there was a recent news buzz going (...)   Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) I'm sorry, but what does a skip-filter have to do with the main message scroll? If one could skip-filter it, then why would the off-topic forum be filtered out by the system itself? This is in regards to the main new message scroll that (...) (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) We're talking about the same thing, the web based interface found here: (URL) OT and Admin groups are not blocked automatically by the system per se, that's just the default setting of your skip filter. If you look on the bottom of the main (...) (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) I'm curious too. Gay marriage as a topic, not related to LEGO at all, should go in off-topic.debate IMHO. -Tim (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) To be honest I think this topic would fall under the "acceptance issues" portion the group's carter and therefore be on topic for this group. -Orion FUT to off-topic.debate (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  skip-filter

(...) .off-topic is only filtered out by default. You're free to add it back in by changing your personal preferences: (URL) => .admin.nntp] (20 years ago, 19-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) So then I suggest moving ALL of the 'people' forums to a sub-forum of off-topic. And be default skip-filtered just like the other non-Lego forums. By your own admission this topic - that has nothing to do with Lego in any way is ok, then it (...) (20 years ago, 20-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, lugnet.admin.suggestions) !

  Re: Louisiana bans gay marriages

(...) Technically, Massachusetts is the only one (I think) that expressly(ish) allows gay marriage. MA recently had a court case wherein the court decided that it was illegal to deny a gay couple the right to marry under the interpretation of (...) (20 years ago, 20-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)
