Re: Gazebos for my wedding cake...

(...) Hi Saskia, Yes, it's official! The wedding went smoothly (whew!), and the cake topper was very well received! The kids at the reception were particularly interested in it... I'll share a picture of it with the cake when I get one. Thanks! Rich (21 years ago, 31-May-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

(...) Hi Raymond, Thanks for the encouragement! Yes, I created the mustache-goatee-vandykes. I drew them on regular smiling LEGO heads using a Sharpie. (Sharpies are permanent markers that draw on most surfaces. Many poeple use them to label CDs.) (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Gazebos for my wedding cake...

(...) Congratulations and best of luck! BTW, are the Vandyke heads modified? I actually finally shaved mine off, but during the years I had it I was always disappointed that I couldn't find a good mustache-goatee combo. The best I found was the (...)   Gazebos for my wedding cake...

Hi Everyone! I have created some models for the LEGO gazebo I will be using later this month on my wedding cake. Please take a look and let me know what you think: (URL) I create the final version, I'll add the grooms, take some pictures, and show (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: sharing chocolate

(...) Hi Teddy! No, though that would be cool! As is is, I'm going to have to paint goatees on plain minifig faces to make the grooms. All the ones I could find with goatees had 'anrgy eyes,' grimaces, snarls, or too much stubble! I've got the (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Best Lego Rainbow?

In honor of Northampton (MA) Pride tomorrow, I'm going to slap together a fun little Lego rainbow. But it dawns on me that there are quite a few choices for the different colors--especially now that I have the collection sorted. And there are even (...)   Re: sharing chocolate

Wonderful work, Saskia! Do you mind if I use this example at my church camp? I'm doing a workshop on Lego storytelling, and I have some nice examples of comic strip type stories (like the Rev's Brick Testament), but nothing that so neatly tells a (...) (...) Hi Saskia- great work, so evocative. It's amazing how much detail you were able to put into such a small space- I love the bikes on the bridge, the overfilled picnic basket, and the other details others have mentioned (the ducks, the trees and (...)   Re: sharing chocolate

(...) Yes it is :-) It's the frog who has to be kissed by a girl to become a prince again. That won't happen, so he's having a bad day ;-) Saskia (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: sharing chocolate

(...) Saskia, I really like the ducks - great use of those old homemaker hands. The amount of detail packed into this is beautiful too. Very impressed. Jeff (21 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)
