Greetings friends,
Well, the time is almost upon us...as we've been reminded in this touching
message from Australia by Melody Brown:

I've been thinking about some way to update my LUGNET September 11 memorial
page, some way to commorate this one year anniversary, but couldn't really
think of anything to add.
That's when Melody's message really hit me; it wasn't "my" page to
update...it's ours...all of LUGNET's.
I'd like to add an anniversary section to the page, and I'm asking for your
help to build the content.
Please, if you are so inclined, post a message, an update, a story, in
response to this request...tell us how you are, what you think, about your
hopes and wishes for the future. I'll add an anniversary section to the
memorial page so our thoughts can be reviewed and remembered from this time
forward. (But please, no arguments, no debate, no flames...keep that stuff
in .debate or keep it to yourself)
And please, if you haven't done so, visit the memorial page, read through
the posts from a year ago...it's good to remember, so we can see how far
we've come. I read back through the hundreds of messages from last year just
a few nights ago...it was quite a journey, and so much more personal than
the reviews and programs on television...much more real, since it was
happening here at LUGNET-which may seem strange, but makes a lot of sense if
you review the posts.

| Matt & All, I guess I will start this thread as well, although it is something that is still with me, and most of us, for the rest of our lives. I hope and pray that the people who were affected by this will find some relief, or some comfort, in (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.people)
