Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Maggie Cambron
(...) Hello Tobias, and welcome back. (...) Others have replied to your post already, but since you've been here off and on for quite a while, I thought you might be interested in an aspect no one has brought up. Here are a few recent posts you may (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Frank Filz
(...) Not sure what angle you're going after here. Three of the four posts are really just folks downsizing because they're realizing they're being overwhelmed by their collection. Being in the process of unpacking a 500k piece collection after a (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

There's nothing really going on out of the ordinary here. This happens to at least one "large collection" person a year, if not more. I stated my reasons - I live in a 2BR apt, and I'm looking at buying a house (this was a longtime wish, but just (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Frank Filz
(...) Wow, that's worse than my place was. At least in my place, three people could sit around the dining room table. I'm really hoping that my 500k piece collection will fit into my 2 bedroom apartment with room to spare. I'm planning on only (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Mark or Milissa Millere
(...) That reminds me Frank, What song and group were you talking about when you sald "Mark gave me a tour of the warehouse (you need to listen to a song on a CD I have...)." ? Thanx, Mark (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

(...) "A Warehouse, Not A Home" by Bett Padgett on "More Than Time". You may find it hard to find (she's a folk singer from Raleigh). The refrain goes: Cause I don't need another rotorooter, electric train set or kerosene stove Compressor, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Yikes! My lego stuff is probably very much like your own, mass-wise. I don't really want to think about it any more than that though... Admittedly, some is not Lego proper, but I think you have the same clone thing going, right? -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)

Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Frank Filz
(...) Oh, I was going to mention the actual load. The actual weight of all my stuff was about 12,500 pounds. (...) I've only got a small amount of clone stuff (compared to the rest of my collection). I really haven't done anything with it though. (...)         Re: What's going on in the LEGO world? —Frank Filz
(...) Yesterday I received notice from IBM what the bill for the move was. It was about $13k. I think I'm glad I didn't take the Pittsburgh offer. They were only offering $3k for relocation expenses. Of course it wouldn't have been a cross country (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.people, lugnet.general)
