Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) There is a ramp up to the vista as well stair access, and the railing is pretty sturdy:-) (...) Nope. If you aren't looking down, you'd never notice the map. (...) Not exactly, but they are wide enough for most purposes I think. -John (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.people)

  Happy Birthday to me!

Hey.. Just thought I'd say today (Feb 27) is my birthday. Feel free to send me LEGO. ;-) -Tim (26 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) Bingo. Yes. Thank you. (...) Exactly. That would be awesome. By "organized events riding coattail" I meant organized formal "events" as opposed to an organized informal "get-together" of a virtually random group of AFOLs, if that makes any (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) Mm, I have a feeling they won't go for it. It would call for trays of glasses being carried up and down stairs. And I don't know how their liability insurance works for places not handicaped accessable, where people could fall off roofs, down (...)   Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) It is one heck of a view, and I'm certain it's on the rentables list. It's been over a year since I was there, but my fuzzy memory recalls it as being a prime location for a private function.   Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) Ah! I see, you literally meant "above." Wow! And on the map it's just a gray blob. I never would have known. That looks very interesting. It may be "unrentable" though. :-\ Are visitors allowed up there normally? (...) Yes. Pretty nice. If you (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.people)

RE: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) See the Model Shop? It's on the roof, where the light gray map of the US is drawn. You can see the (short) flight of stairs going down the back to the path, which wraps downward around the right side of the Model Shop. If you have access to (...)   Re: Need a map of LL, CA

There seems to be a misunderstanding here. But I think we can straighten it out. (...) All of us in this forum have LEGO in common, that's for sure. But that alone couldn't make us friends. And Todd and I aren't getting married because of LEGO. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.people)

Re: Need a map of LL, CA

Suz- I don't have a map, but I know of a place in the park where a small wedding would be perfect-- the area where the GMLTC and ldraw displayed at the Kidvention. It is off the beaten track, and has the best view of the park anywhere in it. I wish (...) (26 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.people)

Re: Need a map of LL, CA

(...) whoa, whoa, time out... I hope to see you there, but keep in mind that this is a wedding, *not* a LEGO event.
