(...) When it's "officially" assembled, we will want room for the builders to monitor modules, without blocking the view of spectators. Well, I don't have a web page made up, yet, but over the holidays, several of us got together to set-up a Great Ball Contraption. The Great Ball Contraption is a take-off of SMART's Crate Contraption. With the GBC, balls are moved (instead of crates (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Thanks David for organizing this meeting. It looks like I missed a lot of cool robots. Good job Mark on a excellent mini-challenge robot. We had a small but wonderful meeting last weekend! Gus showed a wind-up clock that he's been working on. He gave an interesting presentation on how several escapement mechanisms work, and also some useful pointers on how to reduce friction in gear (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.smart)
