Here's the update:
Eric Joslin and I got together a couple of weeks ago and playtested the rules ...
carnage photos were taken, developed, and are awaiting me to get off my duff and
scan them. Between the two of us, we think this is going to be really great ...
As for where the big event stands; one thing that became clear was that if more
than 3 people show up, my apartment will no longer be large enough to host the
event (the actual combatants and landscape take up a lot of room, it turns out.
Who knew?) I have been contacting the Charles River Museum of Industry, trying to
iron out a date for the event - the coordinating woman was out of town until early
this week, and then there was some date confusion, etc. etc. Ahh, the chaos of our
lives :) Anyways, we might be able to have the meeting there at the end of this
month, I should know tommorow. IF NOT, we will have to solicit ideas from other
people as to possible meeting places. Does anybody know of a library or civic
center or somewhere that might be able to host a meeting of 12 (stab in the dark at
an upper limit??) enthusiasts and their ABS creations on a Saturday morning? Just
something to keep in mind ...
Once everything is decided logistically, Eric Joslin and I will post the details.
One thing we are going to request is that each person try and bring something
landscape-ish as well - hills and buildings and foliage really make the landscape
look amazing. We can have some street scene combat taking place, too, with people
running room to room inside buildings, etc. etc.
Anyways, that's where it stands. On the brink ...

| (...) Hey, what a coincidence -- we got together with Eric Joslin a couple of weeks ago too, only we playtested a few pints of Guinness. :) I'd be happy to cast a vote for a meeting at the Caribou Moose place in Waltham again (or whatever it's (...)
