Re: Do we have any train nuts around here?

(...) would be (...) Speaking of Cornelius... I can't view his section on your website, did you take it down? I wanted to marvel at his other creation some more... ~Nathan (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Do we have any train nuts around here?

(...) The last time I was in the LEGO room, Cornelius was muttering something about a "schelf-powered multiplemore mobile Riding aufspurlastvagen". When I asked him how he was going to solve the problem of there being no tracks at all in Castle (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Do we have any train nuts around here?

(...) ...just to but my head in here on the subject of trains and shows. wamalug started as a train group but has since expanded far beyond it, but we still love doing shows. Even our non-train people come out and help. It seems a great central goal (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Do we have any train nuts around here?

Or not so nuts that do some train stuff occasionally... I was just wondering if there were any train nuts in NELUG or in the local Boston area. I have only done a couple of models so far and I now finally have an engine to run around my little oval (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

(...) As I mentioned earlier, we got a $20 per day savings (they have a different $10 per day savings if you reserve rooms using their web site, but you can't reserve rooms using event codes like we did [that had to be done by calling the specific (...)   Re: "Was it worth it to you?" was Re: Cost of Brickfest

(...) Yes, the rate was $20 per day cheaper than their regular rate (for comparison, their discount for internet registration was $10 per day cheaper than regular). (...) I agree on all counts. Moving events are good for the annual meeting of a (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: "Was it worth it to you?" was Re: Cost of Brickfest

(...) I'm pretty sure that the price we paid was a discounted rate for brickfest. Isn't that right? (...) Personally, I hope that it does not move around. I hope that WAMALUG maintains enough interest to perpetuate the event annually. If you want (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: "Was it worth it to you?" was Re: Cost of Brickfest

(...) Did anyone look into a "group rate" for rooms at hotels? Sometimes you can get a fairly significant discount that way. What were the final Brickfest attendance figures, anyone know? And a further Brickfest question...is it going to be a yearly (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  BRICKFEST, BRICKFEST, BRICKFEST (the pictures)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) Grrr.. This is driving me crazy now. I just viewed my raw source on my machine and it does indeed say ™ but when I FTP the source to the server and open the page and view the source I see a raw "TM" symbol. This I don't understand. Also, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) I might be looking in the wrong place but I still see a raw 8-bit code (#153) instead of the HTML entity in the HTML source for the page. The images have real TM symbols, though. :-) :-) BTW (just a nit) the actual HTML code is: ™ and (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) OK all the "TM" symbols on the NELUG home page have been set to &#8482. If you have any problem viewing these on the home page let me know. Thanks, Eric Kingsley The New England LEGO Users Group (URL) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) Wouldn't hurt. :) Seriously, no. You just need to be aware of what Microsoft is up to. See (URL). (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) Don't tell me I need another operating system now so I can test everything properly. :-). Well for the images it shouldn't matter because the "TM" is part of the Image. I will look into the couple of uses of the "TM" on the NELUG home page (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

Re: Use NELUG buttons and banners on LUGNET home pages.

(...) Uh oh. That's not a trademark symbol. (It just looks like one in Microsoft's fonts.) I suggest using "&#8482", which should work for everyone (and follows the standard). (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)
