For the record, I had a blast as well. I especially enjoyed the pre-game
planning and coming up with a story.
An important thing to note about this approach to a BrikWars game is that it
is much more difficult to play a "pick up" kind of game where people just
show up with some random troops, etc. as this defeats the whole purpose of
planning in the first place. While in this game it made for a *lot* of
laughs, I could see it becoming a problem if it always happens. Although, in
a scenario like we had this time, if the "stragglers" joined the team that
didn't know much about what they were going up against (Team B), it would be
OK. It just means that the 'planning' team needs to account for this with
extra troops if it happens (this never seems to be an issue). I only bring
this up since the game no longer is about troops & vehicals, but instead
it's the story & planning that becomes important, because the troops &
vehicals need to be designed to support it. Does this make sense?
Personally, I can't wait to have another game of this type, regardless of
the tech level.
