A Railway Post Office car (RPO) is basically a mobile Post Office
sorting station. They are usually the size of a passenger car, but there
is very little furniture inside. There will probably be a small office
area for the Postmaster, and then the sorting area. Half the car or so
will be totally empty like a baggage car. Only the office area will have
windows. There will be large doors at the baggage end (though there may
be more than one baggage door). Beside one of the baggage doors will be
a clever hook contraption which could pick up mailbags on the fly. The
mailbag would be hung from a special pole and the hook would grab the
bag in the middle. The sorting area will have a large number of mail
slots and space for bags and carts below.
If this is what they use for displays, there will be plenty of space.
They may actually use both the caboose and the RPO for displays,
depending on the size of the display.
