These are very useful to clamp adjacent tables together. This makes the
effects of jostling by spectators much less severe.

folding tables typically have an offset underbar so you need to be able to
clamp across about 2 times the distance from the inside edge...

The 1.5s, maybe, that's a bit short. the 3s, almost certainly.
