Since Mike was kind enough to upload these pics, I'll explain a couple of them a
bit more...(boy I need to spend more than $40 on a digital camera...)

We have a couple of pictures this time, but due to how
tempermental my camera has become, certain things just didn’t photograph.

I just uploaded about a dozen photos from the meet to brickshelf, they might
be a little clearer:

I don't have much to say by way of captions but here goes.  I hope somebody
will correct me if I screw up any of the details:

The Michons' airport.  I wish I had gotten photos of the tables the airport
was placed on so I could figure out how they set it up and took it down so
quickly.  I swear, it was as if I blinked once and it appeared out of
nowhere, I blinked again and it was gone.

Correct. This is the item that wasn't supposed to be uploaded until the Michons
were done with it and had showed it off themselves. I guess you didn't catch
that part of my post, eh, Mike? :)

A clearer version of Dave's "the mecha factory" photo.

In order from left to right: Cankerworm and it's riders, Pisces, Aries, Dark
Onua, Capricorn, and Big Blue deep in the back. Proof that Bryce builds slightly
larger items than I do. ;)

A group of set boxes were sitting in one corner.  I was glad to see the
Technic box in the foreground right - that was one of the first Lego sets I
ever got as a kid; I loved to chase my siblings around with the grabber claw
you can see pictured on the side of the box.

I know it was someone's trade stock, but I can't remember whos off the top of my
head. I'd hazard a guess, but I really hate being wrong.

Dave's entries from the Hoverthing Contest.

Wow! Lovely picture! Let's see here...they aren't all mine, but I owe you all a
desription of what they are, so here it goes...

Top left corner: Dark Grey, Red, Sand Red-Unnamed Hoverthing 1 that was too wide
to be entered into the contest. It was a fun design and will get named and
placed on my hoverthings page shortly.

Next to Unnamed Hoverthing 1:Dark Grey and Brown-Unnamed Hoverwagon. This has a
cargobay and didn't qualify for the contest due to being a day late.

Next to Unnamed Hoverwagon: Dan Jassim's Classic Space Bus. It is exactly 30
studs long and qualified for the contest, but I don't know if pics were sent in
time to qualify.

Behind Dan's Spacebus: Black and Red M-Tron Aerie. One of my fastest builds and
slowest uploads....didn't qualify for the contest by missing the deadline by an
hour. DOH!!! Built in 20 minutes from start to finish and is the smallest of my
hover collection.

Behind the Aerie: My Droidco Quadripod shown here:
http://members.home.net/legomecha/lego/spacehoverquadripod.html

Next to Droidco's Quadripod: The Fnord Manitoba Hovertruck. Info here:
http://members.home.net/legomecha/lego/spacehovermanitoba.html

Below the Fnord Manitoba Hovertruck: Droidco's Organica. Info here:
http://members.home.net/legomecha/lego/spacehoverorganica.html

Below Droidco's Organica: Fnord's Clydesdale. Info here:
http://members.home.net/legomecha/lego/spacehoverclydesdale.html

Beside Fnord's Clydesdale: Brown and Trans Yellow-Unnamed, unfinished
hoverthing. This probably will end up being a lesson in design rather than a
full-fledged creation. Only time will tell. Proof that too many trans yellow
slopes is a good thing. There are 40 trans yellow 1 x 2 slopes in there. You can
spot them on the edges holding it all together.

Whew!

Dave's trade table, including the incredible yellow Rolly Thing.

Yeah, for once I took over an entire trade table. I don't normally bring as much
stuff as I did this time and that's only because it was already packed and ready
to go. Those rolykits were invaluable in starting up my ol' Brickbay shop and
now they are used for trading parts I have an excess of. Anyone need six blue
Garage Door bricks? Email me...please! ;)

Eric Sophie's big red mech.

Yep. This is one of my pics that just didn't come out at all...low battery, I
guess. Thing o' beauty that one is! For those that are wondering-everything on
it can move...it's quite posable. Thanks again, Eric for letting us borrow it
for a while.

Everybody dives in when the bricks hit the blankets.

Sun Yun and I raking through the grey while the Michon clan perused the blue
bits. It's amazing to think that I was only there for certain red parts....damn
those other colors for tempting me with their parts! ;)

An nice shot of what it looks like when a garage falls victim to a mech
invasion.

Bryce's Garage aka his workshop. Nice setup than mine...cleaner too! Alright,
there's Bryce kneeling with Dan 'melty parts' Jassim standing nearby. You can
see most of the creations quite well...what you don't see right above
Cankerworm's head is the other mecha on loan to us from Chris Snead: Cepheus!
What this picture does a great job of showing off are Brian Stokes' Lego bins
right in the front bottom of the pic. Yes, that one bin is ALL black parts.

A close-up shot of the littler mechs cowering in the shadow of the
Cankerworm's tail.

HEY! They may be little, but they pack quite a punch! left to right: Pisces,
Aries, Dark Onua (tough to see), and Capricorn. Also note above Capricorn: a
Cankerworm rider.

Everybody crowds around a chunk of Brian Stokes' fabled Mother Lode.  This
shot could just about work as the group photo for this meet, as long as you
don't put too much priority on actually seeing anybody's face.

LOL! A group shot around the 'unsorted' bin! No, I'm not going to attempt to
name everyone because I'm still not good with names until I meet someone for the
third time.

Sun Yun's mechs.

Here's hoping I can spend more than 15 minutes with them someday...They truly
are beautiful close up.

Here is a picture of somebody else taking pictures.  In the background you
can get a pretty good look at a few of Bryce's non-mech sculptures.

and Cepheus. Also on the shelf are the Legorilla and Bryce's BioniCentaur(with
dragon wing helmet). The boy was a neighborhood kid who wanted to see why adults
were playing with Lego. This is also a good shot of Bryce's extremely organized
collection.

- Mike.

-Dave (who will type nothing more on this....he hopes)
