There are some folks out there with Lugnet or various LUG/LTC shirts that
are probably wearing them.  I'm not sure how to identify myself ATM; maybe
I'll just say "I'm with Larry"(1), or something.

Anyone have any better ideas?  I can think of lots of ways to stand out from
a crowd, but I'm not sure how many of them I want to try in public...

James

1:After all, Larry's 12 feet tall and breaths fire, right? <grin>

Unfortunately, he doesn't look much like he projects himself online. ;-)

But he did make up these bright red and blue shirts that say 'I Read RTL/LUGNET'
and used them for his family at the grand opening of the park in 99.  They
worked well, I saw his fam from halfway across the parking lot when I arrived
there.

I don't have a LUGNET T-shirt, but I do have a contraband CS fig shirt.  I was
really hoping for embroidered LDraw.org wear to be in by then, but the
production of that has been delayed.  I've got a BrickFest 2000 shirt too, I
could wear that.

Anyways, I'll be there with a crowd probably - I'll have Brandon Grifford, then
I'm sure I'll meet up with Mark Sandlin, Dan Jassim, and Mark Rideout there (as
we will have had activities the night before and already be familiar with each
other).  So, a group of adults acting like kids won't be too hard to pick out.
:-)

I've also met Larry and Frank before, so there's two more people who will be
easy for me to run into.  If anyone has ideas about how to make us even more
noticeable to those who haven't met any of us, put them up.  If anyone has a
cell phone perhaps that could be used as a way of meeting up in the park as
well.

Can't wait!

-Tim

(...) Good question... it's a big place. I think that some of us that were intending to be there fairly early (10 AM the gate opens?) planned to hang out at the Big Shop until we saw someone doing the same thing. Not exactly a great plan, but it's a (...) (23 years ago, 18-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.us.lugola, lugnet.people, lugnet.legoland)
