  Next Event: Rock Crawling

I spoke with John Brost last night, and we came up with good idea for our Christmas event. This may go on longer, if we have enough fun. We'll see how it goes. The idea started when we were looking at John's cool RC motorcycle. The first thought was (...) (18 years ago, 4-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: score one for half a$$-ed programming

(...) That is excellent! As you seem to be discovering, great programs are created one lucky hack at a time. Although persistence doesn't always pay off, it is a necessary ingredient in any worthwhile project. I am expecting UPS to deliver my first (...) (18 years ago, 3-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

score one for half a$$-ed programming

So I found another use for my 2nd NXT, so that meant my R/C NXT Trike ((URL) a new way to be controlled. I decided maybe it was finally time to try out the NXT playstation 2 wireless controller thingy I got from the Mindsensors.com guys at Brickfest (...)   Christmas event

For the last couple years, we've managed to get together for some kind of event, between Christmas and New Years. Last year, we had our first round of Tic-Tac-Toe. The year before was our first GBC.   Re: NXT "remotes"

(...) Thanks (and thanks to Bryan who replied off-lugnet) I had forgotten the bit about those motors being pre-prototypes. When I find time, I'll take a look at trying to figure out what to do with the more powerful ones. At the very least if I can (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NXT "remotes"

(...) I have mine set so if the reading is between -10 to +10, it stops. So, if the reading is <-10, go backwards, else if the reading is >+10 go forwards, else stop. (...) This is a bit tricky. And, a bit of trickery. The program is very simple. (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  NXT "remotes"

Things have been way too quiet on here for a long time now... Since I know I won't be getting much LEGO playing time at home anytime soon, and since I was headed out of town this past weekend, I took a page from Dave K's book and took my LEGO with (...)   Re: Indy 5.00 rule clarification

(...) Definitly, though you can't see it by that picture, that is why I used this piece (URL) the wing. I think I'll add a couple big "coffee can" exhaust tips coming out of the bumper tonight. I think that is supposed to make them go faster too! (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
