Ok, so I've been searching the web for a Bluetooth GPS. But, I really don't think I ordered one. Heck, I'm getting old. Maybe I forgot. So, I checked my mail, and in the back of my mail box, there's a plain white box. No address or any markings. I (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Here's the promised pictures. Only a few because I was too distracted actually doing robot stuff to take many pictures. No movie yet. I'll work on that. (URL) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Glad you could make it. It was nice to see another working robot, and if I wasn't so stuck on using my giant arm, I would probably try to build a gantry system like the rest of you since it seems to work better (or at least faster). Its always nice (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

| | 3T Practice Session

Just wanted to let everyone know how much fun I had at the practice session yesterday. I had some good learning this weekend. I already tore down the robot and removed the RCX from the moving structure last night. This seemed to up the speed a (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

(...) Parallel tracks usually have eight studs between them, because that's the spacing you get when you add a siding. It's also the spacing you get if you put cross tracks across them. In fact, the 16x16 cross track is the best piece to work out (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Another apect I was recently thinking about is where tracks usually cross baseplates. For instance, is it "easier" to get a straight section right next to the edge of a 32x32 baseplate, or six studs away? Or eight? Or... what? Does this always have (...) I still might construct a 6x6 cell version of the board for use with kids (if my robot is easily adaptable. This would probably improve my drop reliability to about 100%... I actually sat and played 23 games without modifying the robot last night. (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

I'm planning on line following (probably with Trellis again - I've yet to radically improve the design, I might need to start from scratch) and the Maze (because I *know* I can do better than my one other attempt).
