Next IndyLUG meeting is Sunday, June 8. Come anytime from 2:00P.M. onward. Dinner plans, anyone? Bring what MOCs and ideas you have for the summer collaborative opportunity.   Re: dcc modification of a lego train motor

(...) Cool, we can leave an LDDC-enabled RCX on the layout for Steve to play with! (...) An AC power supply (such as comes with the train regulator) would be handy. Also if you have an infrared tower to spare, we can leave that on the layout, too. (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Cheap parts cabinets & a Pitsco Dacta Catalog

Menard's hardware store (where I work) has 18 drawer storage cabinets on sale right now for $8.99 (regulerly $11.89). I can also get 10% off of that if anyone's interested in getting any of those. I just got my Dacta catalog in the mail this (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

After all, my backup was programming ;) If you're interested in converting, I can offer 1 of the motors I got from those Target sets (4561). I mostly purchased them (...) Gee, I wish I had time to attend the IndyLUG meetings! Anyway... In lugnet.org.us.indylug, Brian B. Alano wrote: ... (...) I have a suggestion. I modified a train motor so I could control it with an on-board RCX. Unfortunately, the project hasn't (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  IndyLUG PC

I was thinking after the meeting last month that it would be handy to have a dedicated IndyLUG PC in the barn, hooked up to the Internet (using Steve's phone line, of course :) ) It would keep us out of Kim's hair, and make it easier to do (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: dcc modification of a lego train motor

It looks like all the pieces are in place for L-guage DCC! I do think DCC the way we need to go, even though is will cost $50 minimum per train motor. I'm not that good with a soldering iron, but I can follow instructions, and the ones at the link (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
