  Re: scibrick and our future

(...) I agree. My attitude is usually "What's stopping anyone from making their own (fill in the blank)?" I want the freedom to create what I think of, not necessarily what's in the instruction book.   Re: scibrick and our future

(...) Why should Lego license? It only adds to the pricetag of sets--which people complain are too high. Look at the Make and Create. Do you want more parts for the price, or do you want to pay for a license every time you buy a set? Besides, with (...) (21 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

Re: scibrick and our future (long)

Felix, Scibrick, I feel, should be a group devoted to furthering the use of LEGO as an artistic media in the science-fiction genre. A very 'fluffy' sentence, so I'll explain: SB should be an independent group that is capable of presenting displays (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

  Re: scibrick and our future

(...) Jeff, Representatives from the LEGO company have made it pretty clear at Brickfest (and directly to me in the past) that they do not accept product suggestions from outside the company. Also, a Japanese company called Kubricks currently holds (...) (21 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

  scibrick and our future

Hi everybody, Scibrick was announced a while back and I think a lot of people were left scratching thier heads. Perhaps you've heard rumors of what we're about. Perhaps you want to know more information. If we have appeared aloof, it is because the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !!

Re: Houston event, still hammering the details or called off?

(...) Hi Fradel! The Cosmic Rendevous is very much a go in Houston for October 24. You can see more info here... (URL) indeed, we're still hammering out the details, but if you'd like to participate please email me so we can discuss the particulars. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

  Re: Announcing: SCIBRICK

(...) Actually, moonbase events would be covered by LUGNET in Events and/or Space. This particular board will be the discussion point for SCIBRICK's involvement in events, whether it be in having a person bring display materials for SCIBRICK or (...)   Houston event, still hammering the details or called off?

Hi guys. I was wondering what the story is with the Nasa event at Houston. I haven't heard much about it since Brickfest. I've got time off I can use and would like to particpate. Can anyone in charge let me know what the scoop is? Thanks Fradel (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

  Re: Announcing: SCIBRICK

(...) This is interesting to me too. I assume that a forum like this will be used to organize moonbase events like NWBrickcon. We have already had a few sci-fi conventions with Michlug, with one more planned in October. Should we be advertising them (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

I took the Moonbase page back

This afternoon I heard a quiet knock on my door and opened it to find the Moonbase page sitting on the doorstep looking up at me. I decided to take it in, although I'd neglected it and kicked it out. I think it'll live with me for the long haul now: (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.org.scibrick, lugnet.space)

  Re: Announcing: SCIBRICK

(...) Let me clarify this. The current categories that we will be representing at this time will be Mecha, Moonbase, and Spacecraft/Vehicles. My apologies to those who may have interpreted my posting otherwise. Joe (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)

  Re: Announcing: SCIBRICK

(...) Isn't it? (...) There is a group of people who will be contributing and manning this show, myself included. There's *sorta* a moonbase display in the works, but it's too early to tell. SciBrick will be initially comprised of general (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX)
