Heh. I know the feeling; There have been many times when I thought I worked
out something in my head but when I got to build it, I end up with "Darn, I
didn't realize that part would be in the way". That's why I just furrow my
eyebrows when I see people like Dean and co. working on Technic... it's just
beyond me.

Me too!  I used to build with Technic, but haven't for many years.
Now the options available just plain scare me!

Well... Don't let my looks of calmness fool you. I get get high off of lego
building.

4 hours to get a tread assembly made right isn't what I would call 'Gifted' heh
heh.

As a kid I only had one tecnic set. a Blue Motorcycle with a Side Car. So my
Technic abilities are quite sad ATM. I am slowly coming up to speed.
