Heh. I know the feeling; There have been many times when I thought I worked
out something in my head but when I got to build it, I end up with "Darn, I
didn't realize that part would be in the way". That's why I just furrow my
eyebrows when I see people like Dean and co. working on Technic... it's just
beyond me.

Yup, loved the blue colour scheme... very artistic.

Wow, that's very observant... I wasn't there more than 20 minutes but you got
all that right. For the record, though, Xandria is partially correct because I
actually started it as a Model Team scale F-14 but decided I couldn't do the
swing wings justice in the thickness I had to work with, so although it is my
Rendition of an F-15 there are F-14 holdovers (the nose gear has 2 wheels like
an f-14's instead of the F-15's single wheel... that's because the model was
so heavy it snapped the poor single wheel I had there originally) and the
vents above the air intakes are actually on F-14's only, but I thought they
looked neat.
And yes, at 98 studs long it's about 31 inches long, good eyeball estimate!
(What, do you survey property for a living?). Hey, it was sorta white. Ish. (I
need more white plates... as you can guess, that pretty much sucked all the
white plates/low slopes out of my collection).

Thanks! I actually only brought that to show people what I was up to (another
truck to keep Optimus company) and hope that somebody had the parts I needed
for trade. Ok, and to show minifig steering =) Oh, and yes, it is a mini
rendition of the Black Cat, although it's a bit hard to tell as it was
unfinished and had white patches on it (I may have to commit the ultimate
sacrifice and slice off the flanges from a couple of red curve-over pieces...
d'oh)

Being there 20 minutes I really missed a lot, didn't I? D'oh again.

Like THAT for instance.
And believe it or not, I've not yet gotten a chance to see any of Kevin's
assmbled kits yet.
Mark
p.s. Dave H? I hope you bring your 5571 Black Cat again... my miniature one
will be finished by next time, I swear. Btw, I wasn't even planning to do a
Black Cat Rig just yet till I saw an actual built one, then I had to do it
ASAP. I hope he doesn't bring anything else huge and cool that might cause me
to go off on another tangent ;)
