Yes, as was discussed during the first meeting that we wanted the members to
agree to the rules which the members created. We only have a few rules. Every
one present agreed to them. The VLC is a democracy. The Co-founders do not
OWN the VLC. We do not OWN the web site. We donated it and the hosting
space/bandwidth to the VLC.

Well you're right. Our Members events are Exclusive. Members & guests of
members only. It wouldn't be a members event if we let just anyone wander
in...
Here is a snipped from the "Calendar" page on the VLC website.
"Events fall into two categories:
Member Events (events for Members only) and
Public Events (events open to anyone and everyone).
Member Events will be held roughly every four to six weeks. These events will
give
Members an opportunity to play, share, discuss and meet others with similar
interests.
Public Events will be held at specific venues throughout the year. These
events will
give Members an opportunity to share their hobby with other prospective LEGO®
enthusiasts."
I fail to see how the "Members Only" events could be anything other than
Exclusive.
By my records you are not a member and therefore are not privy to the Members
Newsletter.
If you wish to come to Members Events then join. We have a sign up sheet on
the VLC website.
We are also slowly getting flyers and pamphlets into toystores. The bigger
chains are proving to be difficult due to the people in the know being hard
to reach. Any help would be appreciated in this manner.

The public events will be quite open. I'm working on a Mall right now to get
a display. We will have our display tables next week. Once again the members
events are for members only. This was discussed and approved by the members.
