Re: Victoria show in the spring?

(...) me (...) Answer came back, that there is a show, but I am unsure of organizer at present (one of my club's newsletter guy didn't know...) I'll try another one now... James (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Victoria show in the spring?

(...) I'm not trying to put _too_ much of a dampner on it, I wouldn't be back in Victoria in March. Mid April, yes, for a week, and then mid May. I don't _think_ that there is a show in the spring (it always used to be fall), give me a day and I (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Victoria show in the spring?

(...) My feeling is that this may be a little bigger bone than we can chew on at this point. I would like to see us do a couple more shows in our own area before we take the show on the road. Having said that, I also think that a cooperative show (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Thoughts on what to do next time

(...) We would be a draw, I don't think we should have to PAY to show... After a few more shows they should be paying us... Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Thoughts on what to do next time

(...) There is also the "Western Rails - Canada's Largest Railroadiana Show" on Sunday, March 18th, right back at the same place, Cameron Rec Centre in Burnaby. It looks as though we would have to pay for tables in this show, although I'm not sure. (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Thoughts on what to do next time

Most places (malls, halls, etc.) will have some tables, and yes, most will be a "similar" height. But there is ALWAYS a good chance that they will be off by 0.5", for example, which would be no problem for bingo night, or a raffle ticket selling (...)   Airport Hotel is a tough cookie...

I'm still driving around with half the buildings from the show in teh back of the van (I'm gradually taking them upstairs and unbuilding and sorting them) and of course now there are fewer, they are not packed in so well. Yesterday I went around a (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Victoria show in the spring?

Dean Husby wrote in message <3A121ED8.A734DDE6@a....bc.ca>... (...) If we can get the Victoria people to pick us up at the ferry terminal, then we'd only need to transport STUFF ourselves rather than people too. Of course there is always the bus. (...)   Re: Thoughts on what to do next time

(...) This is true but to get enough of us across we are going to need a van... Linking up with the Vic people is an A1 idea. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
