Ah haha. It was pursuing its own win rather than blocking yours because it didn’t realise that the win meant don’t continue expanding that branch of the tree. Whoops. Yeah, I’ll definitely fix that for the hobby show.

Anyhow, nice job. I knew there was a problem with it, but the simplicity of that solution made it very clear what it was. Some other ways to beat it I had attributed to rounding and overflow problems in the way it computes a board’s worth. Thanks.

btw- I love that picture, it’s brilliant. Duct tape and boxes... beautiful. Mines not quite that ugly, but definitely close. I’ve used all of every major part I have, so it’s something of a rainbow creation.
