Just a thought, but does anyone else get the feeling this event is going to be
incredibly boring to watch? Not only are the matches between robots going to be
dreadfully slow, but there will be very little to see. Think about it: with all
of the support structure for the robots gantry, there will be litle left to see
of the actual game board. Might as well put the competing robots in a closet and
then bring them out in 20 minutes to declare the winner. Sure, I'm exaggerating,
but this is going to be super ultra boring. The only redeeming factor will be
when the robots play against humans. But thats not even part of the competition.
Now its Chris's turn to get mad at me because I was the one who wanted this
competition in the first place...

Given what Bruce said:"I think we can all build a fairly decent robot which can scan a 7x6 board and then drop a checker in one (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
