I built a small paper folder once, it only handled pieces of paper about the
size of a business card. But, the idea could probably be modified to handle
something larger. I modelled it on a machine we had in the print shop way
back when I was in high school (seems like 200 years ago!)
I have a picture of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. Basically,
paper was feed in between two tires, when it hit a 'stop' it could only go
one direction, where it would be grabbed by a second set of tires - this is
what created the fold. It was a fun little project. :-)
