Here I was last night, surrounded by my boxes upon boxes of LEGO bricks, had
a few 1x16 yellow beams (worthless but for smash-em sock'em 1) in my hand,
and I just sat there.

Now I'm sounding like Iain--can't build anything good

OK, good; I'm not the only one who was sitting starring at the lego.

best I have come up with is a (censored -- Eyes Only ) weapon, and I *gasp* opened
up the 8475  instructions book to see how lego attaches the stock motors.

Ugh.  I might just show up with a robot that i know will get torn to bits.....

any idea why we are all going through the Blah's??

First Iain, Dave..... and sometimes, me.

do we need more interesting games?  are we having TOO many things?  should we just
retire  and just go buy star wars sets and make OEM models.

(shudder)

i think we all need more fiber in our diets.

ME

I go through this from time to time.  What I usually do at that point is
SORT.  It helps that my collection is perennially disorganized.  Looking
at pieces usually gives me ideas.

I finally got my Akro-Mils bins!  Yay!  66 gorgeous plastic bins, in
friendly Lego-like colours.  ALL MY 1x2 PLATES FIT IN ONE BIN!  YAY!
The Great Binning begins tonight!  Muhahahaha

Yeah, the 8475 is a little *odd* in how it goes together.  But it sure
is fun.  I put together a mini dual technic spring-dart-launcher on the
auxiliary output last night - it uses a micromotor so it jams like
crazy, but who cares.  Push one paddle - BOING!  Push the other paddle -
BOING!!  Whee!  Then I have to reload, of course.  Sometimes I wish I
had a pet to terrorize.

I'll have to build a 6-pack rotary launcher.  Heh heh.  You know, if you
tied a minifig grappling hook and string to the front hole of each dart,
and coiled it so that it would be thrown clear on launch, you could
really screw up someone else's 8475 by tying the wheels in knots :)

But I am overloaded, I know what you mean.  I got the rtl13 unit, mostly
built and languishing; I've got the Train 4.5 thing to do and stuff to
get ready; my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; and I'm not
even going to the Smash event :P

I'm swamped!
