Some days, I just can't believe my good luck.
On Friday, my wife took down the Christmas tree, and packed everything back
into the boxes. When she was almost done, I noticed the platform the tree
stands on. Her dad made this little box a couple years ago. When I saw it,
I ran over and got a tape measure to find the exact dimensions.
In case you're curious (which I'm sure you are, by now) it was 2'x2'x 5.5".
Hmm. Sounds perfect for "Last Bot Standing." Well, close enough for me!
(at least for now)
And, even more good news...
I should have some extra time for building. The company I [used to] work
for has decided to downsize, and they started by eliminating my position.
So, I'll have plenty of time to build and test my 'Last Bot'.
I may need to spend a little time trying to find a way to feed my wife and
kids, but I'll worry about that later.
But for now, you should really start to worry...
Later
Steve
PS. If anyone knows about a job opening involving Visual Basic, databases,
or LEGOs, please tell me. It could mean I could actually attend the dinners
at Mel's!
