The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues... —David Koudys
The webcam'bot has (mostly) been up for a few weeks straight now. (URL) people have logged in and tried it, and have e-mailed me a few suggestions--most of which I have implemented. The biggest improvement is the grabbing mechanism--now it's pretty (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.vc)

Re: The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues... —David Koudys
(...) How 'bout something a little simpler--I could try to do a turtle'bot (like Rob's) and put a marker in it. I can get my hands on big pieces of paper, and then you guys can write to your hearts content :) I'll keep that in mind when this block (...)      (...) Fixed--the 'bot was stuck up on some blocks. Glad you like it! I'll try to make it less stuckable! Dave (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Strange feeling to be able to move blocs with a Lego 'bot 6000 km away !!! Just succeeded to pile up 3 blocs, works fine ;o) Congratulations, Philo www.philohome.com (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues... —David Koudys
(...) Thanks for checking it out! Was it you who was trying to stack 4 blocks? It was a valiant effort, but I didn't make the 'bot grabber arm long enough--maybe a future enhancement! Glad you had fun! Take care. Dave K (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Me too! On my first try! Well sorta - got an unhandled exception & lost control on my *very* first try 8?( Onya Dave! ROSCO (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues... —David Koudys
(...) Thanks for the chat ROSCO! It was fun, though it showed the problems with the built-in chat program--it doesn't refresh until you type something in. I plan on keeping the block stacking 'bot around until I come up with something better--so log (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
