This is my first attempt at doing a "pole-balancing" robot. It's hard!
Suposedly there are dicsussions elsewhere on LUGNET about this very problem,
but my searches revealed nothing. Anyway...

Any suggestions on how to do this better or help with programming is okay,
too. ;)

That's really cool!  The video rocked--it's really quite nifty to see a
robot trying to adapt in realtime to its situation.

Iain suggested we do something like this for rtl13.  Though that is a while
off (we still have 11 and 12 on deck for the next eight months) I think it
would be really an interesting contest.  Another possibility for rtl13 is
the Tiltalator MIT competition, which is another balancing-ish contest.

Perhaps we can get a demo of a Segway HT for it or another control
systems/balancing machine.  By then I'm sure

I can see it now:

rtlToronto13: Balance of Power

Corny, yes.
