IT'S ENTIRELY* IN GERMAN??!!??

Box, manuals, CD - everything!

How the hell does this end up in a Sears store? Am I not correct in
believing that you can't sell something in Canada unless the packaging
and manuals are in one or both official languages? I was under the
impression that the law *required* English or French labelling, even
if it's a Avery label stuck on an imported product as an after
thought. For that matter, why would Sears even *have* a German edition
anyway? It's not like there's a market for it here.

Maybe they got mixed up at Lego's packaging plant, and shipped off one
german box to canada. That may be why it was in the clearance store -
they can't sell it if its not in english and french.

However, Lego doesnt seem to do any french on their RIS sets. I have the
RIS 2.0, Robosports, Ultimate Builders Set, and Ultimate Accessory Set,
and not one of them has any french. In fact, the UBS CD is in English,
German, and an oriental language (Japanese?).

The smaller sets are tri-lingual like theyve always been, except my
throwbots are originally english with stickers.

I would hate to see Lego slapped with a big fine cuz they didnt print
their boxes right. But maybe it's the responsibility of the retailer?

So now a question:

All the poly bags seem to be present, as are the playfield, USB tower,
registration card, Mindstorm's User card and Constructopedia.

Are there any manuals missing (the box had been opened)? I note that
my 1.0 had a Users Manual. Should there still be one in the 2.0?

I dont think there was one in mine.

Pretend that German RIS 2.0s are funnier than everyone else's sig.

Bizzare find at Sears Clearance Center (Brampton)

I paid a visit to the Sears Clearance Center in Brampton this evening. Sorry, I didn't think to write down any set numbers or specific prices but I do know that they were all marked down to 50% of Sears' regular price. Here's what I found: Lots of (...)
