Rob sent me an email earlier because he couldn't post. I think this would
be a great idea, what does everyone else think?

|This message is for all of the robot builders out there. I have some
|suggestions about the next competition. Rather than just honouring the
|winner of the competition with 'nothing', why don't we offer awards for
|other categories. I was looking at other robotics competitions, and some
of
|them had a neat format with lots of categories such as: Best drivetrain,
|Most unique mechanism, strongest construction, best looking, coolest
robot
|brought for show and tell... and the list goes on. I think we could
print up
|some simple certificates relating to these categories and vote on the
|respective winners at the end of the competition. I just think it would
be
|nice to reward and recognize people who have excelled in these areas.
What
|do you think? Is this something people would like to see happen? Another
|thing I would like to see is a more detailed description of each of the
|entries to the competition. This could be posted on the rtlToronto site
|afterwards. Categories like name of builder, name of robot, # of RCX's,
# of
|motors, types of sensors, time in development, etc. Ben, as our official
|scorekeeper could double as our data collector:) Anyway, let me know
what
|you think.
